Mandelic acid is an aromatic AHA and its molecular size is smaller than any other aromatic AHA, making it the most effective in skin care products; however its size is smaller than that of glycolic acid, the most popular AHA in skin care, making it much less of an irritant. Malic acid opens up the pores allowing trapped sebum to be cleared out and therefore is an effective remedy for acne prone skin.The combination of mandelic acid and malic acid creates a truly multi-functional peel which addresses a range of skin issues. But perhaps it is at its most effective when addressing oily, acne prone skin and alleviating blemishes and hyper-pigmentation.Directions for useApply to clean dry skin.Place a little of the peel in a shallow dish or saucer (unused peel can be returned to the bottle)Paint the solution on to the complexion or area to be treated.Do not apply the solution to the eyelids or lips. You can use Vaseline or similar product to protect these areas)Leave for two minutes (initially, then increase by one minute for subsequent peels)Apply the Neutralising Gel – leave on for two minutes.Wash the gel off with warm water and pat dryApply moisturiser (we recommend our own moisturisers with appropriate active ingredients for your skin type).Ensure you wear sun screen (at least SPF 15) whenever you go out.After CareTo enjoy the maximum effect of the course of treatment we strongly recommend the client follow a specific skin care regime on a daily basis. Bear in mind that the peel will dry the skin and make it more susceptible to sun damage if over exposed. Ensure the skin is well moisturised with the application of mineral oil free moisturising creams. Ensure you wear a sun screen with an SPF of at least 15 Forever Young Post Peel moisturiser with SPF 15 is ideal as it will provide moisturisation and protection.
